Having read all the reviews and watched any videos I could find, I decided to take a chance on this. Installed on a Ridgid 18v cordless.

Without repeating everything that''s already been written, ultimately, I cannot recommend this based on what Kreg claims.

This is only useful for breaking down sheet stock into more manageable pieces.

This is NOT for:
Accurate, straight cuts
Cutting to final size
Ripping thin strips

If you need these capabilities, avoid this jig. It can''t do it.

If you want to break down plywood for final sizing on a table saw, this will work. Expect accuracy somewhere in the 1/8" range.

You''ll need to be strategic in leaving factory edges for running against the table saw rip fence. Due to ridiculous amounts of slop, this thing wanders all over the track like a drunken bum.

Extremely disappointed that Kreg would release such a piece of junk tool.

As other reviews, I have the same problem. there are play between the sled and the track. I assembled all parts and my circular saw to check whether the play disappear or not. Unfortunately, nothing changed...

I''m going to contact Kreg to resolve this problem. If I get some information from Kreg, I will update my review.

10/5/17 update
Kreg sent me a new accu-cut without charge. The second one looked similar and still had some play. But when I used the new one, I realized it is different. I could feel more friction between the sled and the track and could get more accurate cuts. I applied wax for smooth work and now I''m satisfied. Of course it is not festool quality. but it''s accurate enough for me.

*Kreg''s tolerance for cutting accuracy is 1/32 inch(= 0.7mm). My first one was out of the tolerance(over 1mm).

When I first opened the package, I immediately noticed that there was play between the sled and the track (enough to change the angle between the blade and the track at least a couple degrees). This is not what I was expecting based on my experience with Kreg tools.

To remedy the issue I put thin layers of UV weld material (Bondic, 5 second fix, etc...) on one side of the sled where the gap was and repeated until the material was thick enough to just barely rub on the track. After doing this there was still some play, but it makes a better cut than I was expecting.

I had my reservations about how well the anti-slip strips wold hold the track in place, but it actually works remarkably well. As long as there isn''t a lot of saw dust between the track and the work piece, the track stays in place when sawing. I''ve only used this so far on cabinet grade birch plywood, so you may see different results with other materials.

The anti-slip strips also doubles as an anti-chip edge. It is designed so that the first time you use it, you cut a small amount of material off of the ant-chip edge so that the blade is right up against it. This is very effective at keeping chipping to a minimum.

This doesn''t work as well as a festool track saw, but for the price you can''t beat it.

This is a good idea but the execution is poor. The track itself is excellent: precise build, stays in place with friction alone, doesn''t get out of alignment. The aluminum rods joining the track together are self-aligning and snug, and with the aluminum track you have a very rigid straight edge.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the sled. The plastic is very flimsy. There''s too much slop between the sled and the track, so your saw will tend to wander a fraction, although with practice you can minimize this. However, he biggest problem is the mechanism to attach the saw to the sled. My fourth-grade son could have designed something better. When you tighten the screws down on my saw (dewalt cordless) the base of the sled pushes away from the base of the saw at an angle, such that the sled does not make full contact with the track when cutting because of the resulting bow in the base. If I don''t tighten the screws down, the sled and saw tend to lose alignment during a cut and I end up taking out more of the sacrificial edge from the track. I always know I have a bad cut when I see blue plastic shavings mixed in with the sawdust.

Some suggestions to Kreg for improvement:
1. Use a more rigid material for the sled. If not actual metal then a much more rigid plastic.
2. Come up with a fastening mechanism that allows the saw to be fastened both fore and aft to prevent wandering.
3. Provide a mechanism for adjusting the angle of the block at the front of the sled so saws with steeper front angles on their base naturally sit flush with the sled when tightened down.
4. Use a stop piece that runs the length of the saw base, not just at the front.
5. Reduce the play between the sled grooves and the tracks.

I would happily pay twice the price with these fixes.

The slop in the track is terrible so when you''re making the first cut to set the zero clearance, if you''re not perfectly still, the cut won''t be straight. I feel like the design was rushed out the door. I contacted Kreg and they said that was by design. So, needless to say I have an expensive tool that I will never use again. Save yourself some money and make your own zero clearance jig.

I was using mine the get a straight cut on a walnut slab. Everything was going fine until the end of the cut. There is way too much wiggle room in this track, and it also bothers me the saw does NOT lock into the track, so there’s no room for human error. I must’ve turned my saw just a smidge too far, and the blade caught the edge of the track. I then had no control and my pulled itself up and across the track. Luckily my saw, the wood, and most importantly myself were all okay. But now my circular saw track is ruined. This disaster could have been easily avoided if there was less wiggle room from side to side and if the saw would lock into the track vertically. I was hoping to use this saw track to avoid paying for a good track saw, but it looks like that isn’t the case. A complete waste of $80.

I was very excited for this product. I love other Kreg tools but this one was a total disappointment.
THE PROBLEM: There is so much play between the sled and the rail that this product is practically useless for making straight cuts. I can see all sorts of imperfections along the cut along with blade marks and the like.
In addition, there is enough flex in the sled that I can see the saw moving on it. Although it may require and additional 60 seconds of setup, I can get better results by using an angle iron as a guide.
I cannot understand why Kreg would allow so much play between the sled and the rail. It seems like a simple matter to create a trapezoidal rail that is slightly larger than the corresponding part of the sled. Gravity should hold it in place with little play.
Am I missing something? Perhaps my unit is defective. Perhaps the good reviews for this product are from people with high tolerance for crooked cuts. I plan on contacting Kreg, since their other products I use are top notch and work well.

So I did read the reviews before diving on this purchase, and was prepared for some disappointment... but not this much. Trust me, this is a complete waste of money.
The root of the problem lies in the plastic... The saw cradle is wobbly at best, and the retention mechanism is incapable of holding the saw so even if you screw the rail/track to your material, the saw hold-down mechanism (metal clips bolted into a thin plastic plate) for the saw by itself is enough to make a mess. The saw will tilt, slip and won''t do what its supposed to. In my case, the saw was all over the place and in one instance it cut through the plastic edge on the track.
Problem number two is the track mechanism. The plastic guide doesn''t exactly slide over the matte-finish aluminum easily. Metal over metal would have been better, and PTFE surfaces would be even better than that. What happens with the current design is that you''ll be fighting friction from the track/sled in addition to the material making the work twice the headache.
As an alternative, The Empire E902 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0090DGNX6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) did the trick for me without a mess... for 1/4th the price... I wish I would have just bought the E902 and not thrown my $80 in the trash for this thing.

See the photo where I push the the slider left and right and the gaps as it moves back and forth in the track.

I''ve given this 5 stars but warning, it''s a bit fiddly to set up. I am using this with a Dewalt cordless circular saw. When I googled this it showed the setup with the blade sitting in the right hand channel on almost every circular saw, my Dewalt though puts the blade on the on the left. All you need to do is think outside the box and remember if you want to cut a thin strip, you''ll need to set it up on the left of the board, not the right. That said, once set up it''s a breeze to use. I was getting perfect accurate cuts on 5 ply sheeting very quickly. I have played with it a little and I can get much of what I use my table saw for to reproduce on this. Obviously there are some things it can''t do, but remember, this is for sheets and for wood less than 300mm width, you''ll still need that table saw.
